Could Tottenham sign this old star on loan this summer?

Tottenham Hotspur and Gareth Bale have been linked pretty much ever since the Welshman move away from North London.

Bale has been an unpopular figure in Spain over the last few months in particular, and has only scored 14 goals in 40 appearances so far this season.

This isn’t the return that was expected from Bale after Ronaldo left the club, as many expected the Welsh wizard to step up.

The Daily Mail now claim that Real Madrid will attempt to loan out Gareth Bale this summer, adding an option to buy into any deal agreed.

While Tottenham would likely have been priced out of any permanent deal for their former star, a loan deal could work in their favour.

Not only would Spurs save on the initial transfer fee, but Real would surely cover a large chunk of Bale’s wages, meaning that Tottenham could, in theory, afford him.
