‘The final third’ – Harry Kane offers honest assessment after Everton draw

Harry Kane has reacted on social media following Tottenham Hotspur’s goalless draw against Everton at Goodison Park.

The Spurs marksman failed to find the back of the net on Merseyside to extend his wait for a further Premier League goal, having only netted once in the top flight this season in nine top flight appearances (transfermarkt).

Kane is a considerable distance behind some of the other sharp-shooters in the league with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah already in double figures.

The 28-year-old admitted that his side came up against a tough challenge away from home but did concede that the performance in the final third of the pitch was not up to the required standard.

Kane will now link up with England ahead of their upcoming World Cup qualifying double header against Albania and San Marino, where he will be expecting to find the back of the net.

Tottenham have been waiting to register a shot on target in the Premier League for almost four hours, with their last successful attempt coming in the first half of the loss at West Ham United.
