There are now only six teams left in this year’s Carabao Cup, with two having already booked their place in the semis, and the other four fighting it out tonight in the quarter finals.
Manchester City and Burton are both through to the final four, with Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Bournemouth looking to follow suit this evening.
City were able to inch past Leicester last night, beating the home side 3-1 on penalties.
Burton Albion also won away from home, causing an upset against the favourites for the tie, Middlesbrough.
However, a comment from Craig Bellamy, a former Manchester City man, after the match last night has caused quite the stir.
On SkySports, Bellamy was asked if City would fancy themselves for the tournament now, to which he replied (as reported by GiveMeSport): “Of course they will but they’ve got Burton. Great to see Burton go through.”
Now, it is very likely that Bellamy misunderstood the format, and didn’t realise there was another draw for the semi finals.
The comments caused quite the stir online though, as some viewers claimed it implied the draw had already been made, and was fixed.
You see Bellamy saying that City drew Burton ? Lmaoooo whole thing is fixed

WTF Craig Bellamy said City have got Burton in the next round and the Sky presenter had to chip in to say the draw is tomorrow and Bellamy looks like a man who’s just realised he’s made a blunder. Is Carabao fixed?
