‘Criminal’ – Some Spurs fans unable to get over one key moment during Chelsea draw

Tottenham played out a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Chelsea on Sunday and, based on how the game went, it certainly appeared to be a case of a point won rather than two points lost for Jose Mourinho’s men.

While neither side managed to create too many clear cut chances, the home side were the more dominant force in the second half and peppered the Spurs box with cross after cross, which Eric Dier and Joe Rodon dealt with admirably.

However, there was a big opportunity right at the end of the game for Spurs to take all three points.

Lucas Moura pounced on a poor pass from Kurt Zouma and played in Giovani Lo Celso, who had runners either side of him.

Instead of deciding to play the ball to Sergio Reguilon or Harry Kane, the Argentine tried to chip the goalkeeper and wasted what was a golden opportunity to get the winner.

Some Spurs fans on social media admitted that they were unable to get over the incident.

Reguilon appeared to tell off Lo Celso after the final whistle for his refusal to pass the ball to him (Sky Sports’ live coverage – 29/11/2020, 4.30 pm), which pleased some Spurs fans.

Here’s how they reacted to the missed opportunity late in the game:

While Lo Celso’s decision was quite frustrating, we could have easily also lost that game if Giroud had not missed a sitter after Rodon’s poor back pass late on. All in all, we cannot really complain about coming away with a point from that game.
