Cristian Romero uses social media to show support for Ange Postecoglou

We all know Cristian Romero wears his heart on his sleeve, but the Tottenham Hotspur defender has now shown his support for his manager, Ange Postecoglou, by retweeting a post where the boss is quoted talking about the tough times the side need to endure to develop.

Things just aren’t going right for Spurs at the moment, with the Lilywhites currently on a run of three straight defeats.

The 4-0 battering away at Newcastle early last month has been followed up by a North London derby defeat to Arsenal, and the midweek loss against Chelsea.

It has left some questioning Ange Postecoglou‘s methods, as Tottenham now look set for a fifth-place finish in the Premier League, despite seemingly having a top-four spot in their own hands just a month ago.

After the North London derby, Postecoglou called for all of his players to be more like Cristian Romero, with the Argentine defender putting in an inspired effort to drag his side back into the game (Football.London).

Cristian Romero is fully behind Ange Postecoglou

It seems the affection goes both ways right now, with Romero sharing a post from the Tottenham Hotspur official Twitter/X account today.

The post used a quote from Postecoglou’s latest press conference, where he said: “You have to go through tough times when you’re building something. It’s a necessary part of the process.”

The retweet was shared in a post by The Spurs Express, who described Romero’s act as “a clear show of support to his manager.”
