A clip showing Richarlison watching the World Cup final between Argentina and Spain has now surfaced online.
It is clear that the Spurs forward was rooting for a Spanish victory, based on the scenes in his living room after Torres put Spain in front. Richarlison was filmed performing a chest slide as he could not contain his excitement.

Richarlison’s reaction is easy to understand
Richarlison‘s reaction is not entirely surprising given the fierce rivalry between Argentina and Brazil. The Selecao were also at the World Cup but were eliminated in the Round of 16 by Norway.
After such a disappointing campaign, many Brazilian supporters would not have wanted to see their bitter rivals lift the World Cup for a second consecutive tournament.
Brazil remain five-time World Cup champions, while Argentina have won the competition on three occasions. Victory last night would have reduced the gap between the two nations to just one World Cup triumph.
Instead, Brazil retain their two-World Cup advantage over their fiercest rivals.
