Cristian Romero may be sidelined, but his latest social media activity has not gone unnoticed, as the Tottenham captain shows support for a former Spurs coach.
Tottenham Hotspur have yet to see their club captain take to the field since the appointment of interim boss Igor Tudor.
However, a return to action is now not far away, with Romero serving the final game of his ban when Spurs face Crystal Palace on Thursday.
That should see Romero back on March 15 when Tottenham travel to Liverpool at Anfield, a game they will hope to win as they fight to stay up.

Tottenham captain Cristian Romero shows support to Matt Wells on social media
Romero has often found himself in the spotlight for comments aimed at the Tottenham board, but with the club captain suspended, he has largely stayed away from any controversy.
The last time Romero took to social media to comment on a football matter, he voiced frustration over Spurs’ lack of options during the defeat to Manchester City.
Romero has once again taken to social media, but this time, he used the platform to show support for former Tottenham assistant coach Matt Wells.
Following Wells’ first home victory as Colorado Rapids head coach, Romero liked his Instagram post, to which the 27-year-old responded: “Yessssss”.
Spurs links remain as Matt Wells makes MLS impact
Wells was part of Ange Postecoglou’s coaching staff during the Australian’s time at Tottenham and also worked briefly under Thomas Frank before taking charge of the MLS side.
Since moving to the United States, the former Spurs assistant has overseen two matches for his new club.
His first fixture, away to Seattle Sounders FC, ended in a 2-0 defeat. However, in his second competitive match, and his first at home, he secured a 2-0 win over Portland.
He later wrote in the post Romero liked: “Brilliant to get our first win at home in front of our fans. Incredible atmosphere from start to finish.
“We’ve only been building for 5 weeks, but 25 shots show the attacking team we want to be. Lots to improve, but proud of the players, they were fearless. Now we focus on the week ahead”.
