Peter Crouch - Tottenham Hotspur News

Peter Crouch and Jermain Defoe will be staying at Tottenham Harry Redknapp has confirmed.

Crouch has been linked with a number of clubs over the summer, most recently QPR – but it appears both strikers will remain at the Lane and will not follow Robbie Keane out of the exit.

“No. Robbie’s gone, obviously, but at the movement we are OK and I don’t see any movement,” Redknapp said.

“I keep seeing about Crouchy but I don’t know where that’s come from. I love Crouchy, there’s nothing there as far as I know.

“Jermain is playing at the moment and looking sharp.”

  1. I really don't understand what Harry sees in Crouch – he is not a good target man, he can't hold the bal up and his scoring record is really poor since he joined us.

  2. @dannyspur; his scoring record is not great, admittedly, but he coaxed many of VdV’s best performances out of him last season, and for that reason alone he was our most effective attacker.

  3. One thing for sure is that Harry needs to wake up, stop living in a fantasy world, stop playing his favourites, stop playing his shit formations, and just shut up or he should be the one out the door.

  4. @VdV's goals were more down to his skills than Crouch's assists (watch them again and you will see that they weren't exactly on a plate) any half decent targat man would have set up far more chances with the number of balls aimed towards him. Crouch is not much more than a nuisance to defenders and as soon as defenders realise that all they just have to jump with him, he seldom wins anything, or if he does, the ball goes anywhere.
