Crouch reveals he shares same agent as Bale and what he has heard

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Peter Crouch has admitted that he would love to see Gareth Bale back at the club.

Crouch played alongside Bale during their time together at White Hart Lane including the Champions League campaign under Harry Redknapp which saw the club reach the quarter final in 2011.

Bale’s future at Real Madrid has been brought into question with manager Zinedine Zidane hinting that the Welshman’s future could lie away from the Santiago Bernabeu (Metro).

The Sun had reported that Tottenham had been offered the opportunity to bring Bale back to North London on a loan deal which would see them pay around £250,000-a-week towards his eye-watering £600,000-a-week salary along with a £10million fee.

Crouch revealed that he shares the same agent as Bale and had heard that the 29-year-old is keen to stay in Spain.

He is under contract with the current European champions until 2022 and it would seem highly unlikely that Daniel Levy would look to upset the current squad by paying Bale more than any other player.

Crouch wrote in The Daily Mail: “Gareth Bale’s position at Real Madrid continues to confuse me and the misuse of such a talented player is ridiculous.

“We share the same agent and, as far as I know, he is determined to stick it out in Spain. He is happy living there and wants to force his way back into the team, regardless of the speculation that continues to follow him.

“But if he is not going to be used regularly next season, I would love to see him return to Spurs. I saw reports earlier this week of him going back to the club on loan, with a £10million loan fee suggested.

“I know how Daniel Levy operates and that certainly wouldn’t be the kind of deal he’d like to do!”

  1. In my honest opinion, I wouldn’t like seeing Bale play for Spurs again? He’s undoubtedly one of the most talented players I’ve ever seen at the club, but here’s the rub. He plays for Bale and in his final season with us became self centered and plain greedy to a point of arrogant. There were numerous times when he’d go for the glory and ignore his team mates in better positions. Secondly, I cant see him as a Potch type of player with his sulking attitude and reluctance to embrace the team ethic? My last point being, Ive never seen a better Spurs TEAM as we have now? So why would Levy potentially create a storm by giving Bale top top dollar, when there are more deserving and proven players in the current side whove actually earned that status?

  2. I think Gareth Bale should come back to Spurs, especially if Zidane is not prepared to play a player earning that much money. It does not make economic sense. He’s only trying to make money of him. Bale is still a good player who Zidane does not want anymore. Why? because Christiano Ronaldo left because he did not like Bale overshadowing him. He was happy with Bale when he won all those games for him. Rael does not have a good team right now. Bale should want to leave.
Go back to Spurs Bale, you won’t regret it for the balance of your career, Zidane is trying to destroy the balance of your career. Check out now Bale.
