Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League match against Crystal Palace will go ahead as planned this afternoon, the Selhurst Park outfit have confirmed on their Twitter account.

Journalist Alasdair Gold took to Twitter to claim that his understanding of events were that Palace had requested for the game to be postponed, but saw their efforts turned down by the Premier League.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 3 pm at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, however further positive Covid-19 cases within the Palace ranks had seen Football London question whether the game would actualy go ahead.
Three top flight fixtures between Burnley vs Everton, Liverpool vs Leeds and Wolves vs Watford had already been called off as a result of the virus (talkSPORT).
The Premier League decided earlier this week against postponing a full round of fixtures amid Covid-19 outbreaks at several clubs (Sky Sports).
