Current Arsenal player hopes AC Milan dump Spurs out of Champions League

Jorginho seems to be wasting no time in getting himself into the good books of Arsenal fans by admitting that he wants to see AC Milan dump Tottenham out of the Champions League.

The round of sixteen tie between Spurs and Milan is finely poised, with the Serie A club leading 1-0 after the first leg at the San Siro.

Stefano Pioli’s side may perhaps be ruing the fact that they did not have a bigger lead to take to London, with the Rossoneri squandering several chances to add to their lead last week.

The Lilywhites will now have to beat Milan at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on March 8 to take the tie into extra-time and win by two goals to progress to the quarterfinal if they want to avoid a penalty shootout.

Jorginho might have only arrived at Arsenal in January but the Italy international is no doubt who the Gunners fans will be cheering for.

When asked about the tie between Spurs and Milan, he told DAZN: “Forza Milan. The matches with Tottenham are those Arsenal fans look forward to the most. I am sure they will all support Milan.”

Spurs Web Opinion

This tie is still very much alive and I personally fancy our chances of beating Milan at home as I did not think they looked particularly formidable last week.

Hopefully, we pick up decent results against Chelsea and Wolves and go into the second leg riding high on confidence.
