Aston Villa defender Curtis Davies has become the latest player to be linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
The Daily Mail are reporting that Spurs are set to make a £7million move for the out-of-favour Villa player.
According to the report, Harry Redknapp is interested in the former England Under-21 defender as cover, due to concerns over the long-term fitness of Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate.
Davies is short of the 60-game mark he needs to trigger a new deal at Villa and could be sold in order for Martin O’Neill to raise funds for other positions. Another possible option is a deal which would involve Jermaine Jenas heading the other way – especially if James Milner departs Villa Park.
