Daniel Levy pictured meeting with billionaire rumoured to be bidding for Spurs

Sky Sports F1 News have pictured Daniel Levy in Bahrain meeting with Jahm Najafi today amidst reports of a potential takeover bid from the billionaire.

The Financial Times were the first to report that Najafi, who is the chair of MSP Sports Capital, is looking to submit a bit to take over Tottenham Hotspur via a consortium.

However, the Daily Mail clarified that while Joe Lewis is open to selling Spurs, the bid from Najafi and his consortium, which was predicted to be around £3.1 billion, would fall short of the club’s valuation of between £4 billion and £4.5 billion.

The Daily Mail also reported that Najafi’s net worth was estimated to be £2.9 billion back in 2021, and he already has his toes in the sporting world.

Najafi is the vice-chair and part-owner of NBA side, the Phoenix Suns, and also has a 33% stake in the McLaren F1 team, which is likely why he is in the paddock in Bahrain.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I’m sure that Levy is just cashing in on the perks of the job and enjoying some F1, but it is certainly no coincidence that he is meeting with Najafi while in Bahrain.

Perhaps one to keep an eye on for Spurs fans.
