Daniel Levy provides promising update on availability of Spurs pair

Tottenham Hotspur made two late additions to their squad on transfer deadline day when they recruited Ryan Sessegnon and Giovani Lo Celso.

While Spurs fans have had a fleeting glimpse of Lo Celso in action, having made three Premier League appearances since his loan move from Real Betis, Sessegnon has yet to feature.

Sessegnon suffered a hamstring injury while on international duty with the England Under-21’s in the summer and saw his attempts to return from the problem suffer a setback last month when he reported irritation ahead of the match against Leicester City (Spurs official).

Daniel Levy was one of the representatives of the Spurs Executive Board when they met with the Supporter’s Trust last week, with the chairman delivering a promising update on the pair.

Minutes published from the Trust revealed that Levy had confirmed that all new signings should return to training during the international break.

Both players will certainly help to freshen things up for Mauricio Pochettino with Sessegnon providing a much-needed alternative option on the left with Spurs also crying out for some additional creativity in the final third.

The minutes published by the THST following the meeting read: “It was recognised that THFC had been unlucky with injuries but all new signings should be back in training during the international break.”
