‘Daniel Levy special’ – Pundit expects Spurs to snap up 26-year-old this summer

Former Leeds United defender, Danny Mills, is far from surprised to see Tottenham being linked with a move for Bournemouth star Ryan Fraser and believes that the winger will be a great fit for Spurs.

The 26-year-old’s contract with the Cherries runs out in the summer and he is said to be on Tottenham’s radar.

Football Insider claimed last week that the Scotland international has told his friends that he wants to move to Spurs.

The report claimed that the North Londoners want to bring in the wide man to replace Erik Lamela, who could be on his way out of the club.

Mills believes that Fraser is exactly the type of player Jose Mourinho loves working with and the fact that he is available on a free means Daniel Levy won’t hesitate to make a move for him.

He added that Fraser would be a valuable addition for the Lilywhites due to his versatility.

Speaking to Football Insider, Mills said: “Fraser is a good player and a Mourinho-esque player. He works hard, diligent and puts the hard yards in.

“That is exactly the sort of player that Mourinho likes so I would say there is every chance, on a free transfer, that Spurs would sign him.

“It is a Daniel Levy special. It would be a bargain in this climate.

“They have had issues on the left side and he could be converted into a left-wing back. I think he would be a fantastic option for Tottenham.”

Mills is right in his assessment that Fraser has many qualities that Jose Mourinho loves, including his work rate and tenacity. While he is not going to set the world alight, I believe the Scotsman could be an excellent squad option for us if we are able to snap him up this summer.
