Darren Anderton reacts to Son’s goal against Burnley with two words

It is safe to say that Son Heung-min’s strike against Burnely on Saturday will be one of the leading contenders for goal of the season.

With a little over half an hour of the game gone, the South Korean picked up the ball near the edge of Tottenham’s penalty box and showed a lethal change of pace as he went past half of the Burnley team before slotting the ball into the back of the net.

The goal put Spurs 3-0 up and helped the home side seal the three points.

Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho lavished praise on the 27-year-old’s display against Burnley and claimed that he has found him great to work with (Football.London).

Former Spurs midfielder Darren Anderton was one of many who took to social media to react to the brilliant goal from the Spurs forward.

Spurs Web Opinion

What makes the goal particularly sensational is Son’s perfect change of pace. You can see him drawing several Burnley defenders in before turning on the afterburners and leaving them for dead. It’s certainly going to take something extremely special to take the goal of the season award away from Son after that strike.

It says a lot about the quality of Son’s goal that hardly anyone has hardly mentioned Harry Kane’s two goals which were both brilliant efforts.
