Darren Bent says he would take Son Heung-min over Marcus Rashford any day when asked to choose between the Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United stars.
At the end of last season, some might have made a persuasive case for taking Rashford over Son as the Man Utd man was coming off his best season while the South Korean had his poorest in a Tottenham shirt.
Some might have felt at the time that the 31-year-old was perhaps starting to decline but any such suggestions have been blown out of the water by the forward this season.
Tottenham desperately needed Son to step up after the departure of Harry Kane to Bayern Munich last summer and he has certainly done that, with 14 goals and eight assists so far this season.
Those are astonishing numbers when one considers that he is not always an out-and-out striker and that he missed a few matches owing to his involvement in the Asian Cup.

Heung-min Son vs Marcus Rashford
Additionally, the former Bayer Leverkusen man has also led the young Spurs side impressively after being made captain by Ange Postecoglou, and Bent did not hesitate to pick him over Rashford.
Bent asked Andy Goldstein on talkSPORT: “Who would you rather have? Quick question, I need you to answer it now. Son or Rashford?”.
When Goldstein picked the Man Utd man, the former Spurs striker responded: “Honestly, look at everyone here looking at you. I’m taking Son all day long!”
Spurs Web Opinion
There is not a single metric in which Rashford is better than Son. The Tottenham man is a better dribbler, better finisher, has a better touch, is more intelligent with his back to goal, a better passer and perhaps most importantly, has a much better mentality.
