Football commentator Darren Fletcher believes things could quickly unravel at Tottenham if results don’t improve under Roberto De Zerbi.
Tottenham Hotspur already find themselves in a difficult situation in the 26-27season, even though it is still early days in the Premier League.
Spurs sit 17th in the Premier League table after four games, still winless and yet to score a goal.
That is far from the sort of form anyone would have envisioned for Tottenham after their close to £400 million summer spending spree.

However, up next for Spurs is a game against Aston Villa, who are equally struggling this season. Unai Emery’s side are 19th after managing just one point from their first four, which is one less than Spurs’ two points this season.
The Villains have managed to find the net once this season, with their lone goal coming in the clash against Hull City.
With plenty at stake for both sides, this weekend’s game promises to be a blockbuster – and commentator Darren Fletcher has now shared his thoughts on how he expects it to unfold.
Before giving his score prediction, Fletcher shared his views on Roberto De Zerbi and how things could unravel at Spurs if results do not improve.
He told TNT Sports: “When I look at it, I do not know how close De Zerbi is to erupting like Mount Vesuvius.
“And I think the minute that happens, all bets are off. And you know what? Based on the nature of the league just kind of going slightly off‑piste, it would not surprise me if we had one or two early sackings this year through sheer panic, because there is already a look to the league that people were not expecting.
“Hull City, where they are – everybody had them down as finishing bottom. Yeah. So, the way they are playing at the minute, you are looking for another team to drop in. So that puts somebody else in a mess.
“One or two clubs have spent a lot of cash and are not winning. Owners and chairmen are going to start to panic in this climate, I think.
“Yeah, because I think if you look at the league table right now, it is not what we expected it to look like, and I think that leads to panic. Now, I am not suggesting that anybody is going to sack Unai Emery, because I think he is one of the best in the world, but I certainly think this situation at Tottenham, if they do not win this weekend, is something that we have all got to monitor.
“They simply cannot keep finishing 17th, 16th, down there at the bottom, and then spending £350 million to try and put it right. It is an impossibility for any club.
“I do not know if either team is good enough to win, and I think there is going to be so much tension in that stadium. I think they are going to play within themselves.
“I agree with you. I thought Spurs looked okay at Liverpool, but it still did not get them anything.”
Fletcher predicts tense draw between Spurs and Villa
Despite his concerns, Fletcher does not expect Spurs to lose to Aston Villa when the two sides meet at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend.
Instead, he believes the spoils will be shared. Offering his score prediction, he added: “I am going to go 1-1. I think they will both score. I do not think either will win, and I think they will come out of the weekend in exactly the same position that they are in now.
“A point is not good enough for either. It will be a better point away from home for Aston Villa, of course. Yeah. I just do not know whether the pressure is going to prevent a team winning it. Do you know what I mean?”
