A lot of players got rave reviews on the back of Tottenham’s 3-1 win against Aston Villa last Saturday.
New signing Tanguy Ndombele grew into the game and scored a well-taken equaliser while Harry Kane got off to a quick start in front of goal this season with a brace.
Christian Eriksen also came on midway into the second half and brought some cutting-edge to the Spurs attack.
However, there was one other big moment in the game that played a crucial role in helping Spurs win. With Villa leading the game 1-0, they had a chance to break from a failed Spurs corner towards the end of the first half.
Harry Winks was the only player Spurs had back and the 23-year-old made a brilliant tackle in a situation where he had no option but to win it and then proceeded to beat a Villa player with cheeky turn.
Tottenham legend David Ginola reacted to the piece of skill from Winks and he was apparently left really impressed.

Spurs Web Opinion
We at Spurs Web don’t believe Winks often gets the credit he deserves from Spurs fans and that stems from a misunderstanding of the 23-year-old’s role in the side. While Winks can be a conservative in possession, his role in the side is to simply to protect the backline and keep possession ticking over, and he certainly does that exceptionally well.
