David Villa claims he can see Spurs star playing for Real Madrid one day

Former Barcelona and Spain star David Villa has said that he can see Harry Kane leading the line for Real Madrid one day.

Kane is arguably the most complete centre-forward in world football at the moment, and there has understandably been plenty of speculation over the striker’s future over recent months, owing to the fact that his current deal with Tottenham runs out in the summer of 2024 (Transfermarkt).

Bayern Munich has been mooted as a potential destination for the England captain next summer, with reports indicating that the Bundesliga club have identified the Tottenham man as their top target to replace Robert Lewandowski, who joined Barcelona in the summer (TZ).

Real Madrid could also be on the lookout for a number nine next summer, with Karim Benzema now in the twilight of his career and the Frenchman’s form leaving a lot to be desired in the first part of the 2022-23 campaign.

The Daily Mail reported two weeks ago that Daniel Levy will not sell Kane even if the striker refuses to sign a new contract at the North London club, but Villa believes that Los Blancos could be eyeing the 29-year-old in the near future.

When asked if he can see Kane in a Real Madrid shirt, the former Barcelona star simply responded to beIN Sports: “I believe so, yeah.”

Spurs Web Opinion

I am 100 per cent convinced that Kane will not leave the Premier League without breaking Alan Shearer’s record, which is why I have no fear of him joining the likes of Bayern or Real Madrid anytime soon. As long as Conte signs a new contract with Spurs, I believe that Kane will also commit his future to the club.
