Michael Dawson admitted that he was disappointed to leave Old Trafford without a point.

Spurs were level at 1-1 with nine minutes to play before conceeding two more goals to lose 3-1 to Manchester United.

“It was a big disappointment, especially conceding the three goals” Dawson told the official Spurs site.

“We went in 0-0 at half-time and even though we knew we hadn’t played that great ourselves, we were well in the game and doing a job.

“To give the first penalty away was a blow and it was always going to be an uphill climb from there but we got back into it and we all believed we were going to get something out of the game.

“At one point I thought we’d go on and win it.

“Certainly once we scored we settled down and played the best football we’d played all game. We got on top of them and that was the case when they scored their second goal.

“It was disappointing to concede in the way we did and that knocked us back.

“After playing so well against Arsenal and Chelsea we all believed we could go there and get something out of the game.

“Everyone was full of confidence but it wasn’t to be.”

  1. Two totally unacceptable rash challenges cost Spurs, not for the first time this season ekotto has given a penalty away. Harry's team selection did not help an unchanged team would have been the better option.

  2. I guess Arry is partly to blame for his team selection- ekotto the most left-sided player ever, and rash at most times wasn't good for RB spot. Should have perserved with Kaboul for although he got exposed in Chelsea game he kept persevering with it. Arry also shouldn't have left us short on RB options. But the players have to take responsibility they weren't at the races- only 4 players were: Dawson, King, Gomes, Modric. The Bolton game is for the men to step up to the plate: the bentleys, defoes, pavs, huddlestones-and the defence to learn from this and develop the solid platform we've had all year, especially at home. A win at Bolton will put us in driving seat regardless of result with City vs Villa. We must aim for 7 pts minimum: that is it! What won't be acceptable is the team slacken off or bottle it!

  3. i agree with daws, we were def in ascendency after we scored, but oh well we were always goin 2 lose.

6 pointd will give us 4th i rekon.. cos villa can only get 70 points plus we have better goal difference.
