Tottenham have received an injury boost after Michael Dawson’s injury is not as bad as first feared.
The central defender limped off during Tottenham’s 2-0 win against Portsmouth on Saturday with an Achilles injury. Scans to the left tendon have shown that there is no risk of a rupture.
He left White Hart Lane on Saturday wearing a protective boot and has been been advised to rest as much as possible.
Dawson should be fit for Tottenham’s visit to Sunderland at the weekend.
