Michael Dawson has been left delighted after Tottenham’s back-to-back victories against Arsenal and Chelsea.
Goals from Jermain Defoe and Gareth Bale helped move Spurs back into fourth place after the 2-1 win against Carlo Ancelotti’s side at the Lane.
He told ESPN: “The lads picked themselves up and put in two fantastic performances.
“The grit, determination and work-rate from the boys was great and the quality came through in the end.”
Earlier in the day Manchester United beat Manchester City 1-0, courtesy of a late Paul Scholes winner.
Dawson added: “The lads were having their lunch in the players’ lounge and when Paul Scholes scored there was a little cheer.
“We have got some more important games to come so it’s an exciting time and it’ll go right down to the wire.”
