Michael Dawson has been left delighted after Tottenham’s back-to-back victories against Arsenal and Chelsea.

Goals from Jermain Defoe and Gareth Bale helped move Spurs back into fourth place after the 2-1 win against Carlo Ancelotti’s side at the Lane.

He told ESPN: “The lads picked themselves up and put in two fantastic performances.

“The grit, determination and work-rate from the boys was great and the quality came through in the end.”

Earlier in the day Manchester United beat Manchester City 1-0, courtesy of a late Paul Scholes winner.

Dawson added: “The lads were having their lunch in the players’ lounge and when Paul Scholes scored there was a little cheer.

“We have got some more important games to come so it’s an exciting time and it’ll go right down to the wire.”

  1. Daws must travel to SA after that performance in front of Fabio. He was a fucking rock today! He plays with so much passion and you can see he loves playing for Spurs. We're offically the best London team this week!

  2. I'm warming to Harry. I now rate him above the man in the raincoat. If we win at OT he will be pushing the man with a badger on his head!
