‘Days off don’t exist’ – Out of favour Spurs player takes to Instagram at Hotspur Way

Tottenham Hotspur winger Arnaut Danjuma has taken to Instagram to reveal that he was back at Hotspur Way yesterday less than 24 hours after the win against Nottingham Forest.

The Dutch international joined Tottenham late in the January transfer window on loan for the remainder of the campaign from Villarreal.

Danjuma’s time at Tottenham appeared to get off to the best possible start when he came off the bench to score in the FA Cup win at Preston North End on his debut.

Spurs head coach Antonio Conte expressed his sympathy towards Danjuma’s lack of game time ahead of the 3-1 win against Nottingham Forest at the weekend and highlighted that it was a club signing, which certainly makes fans relive the Djed Spence saga.

He told Football.London on Friday: Yeah about Arnaut, for sure I am sorry. I am sorry for him because he arrived in the transfer market in January and the club wanted to sign on loan this player.

“For sure he has good characteristics, good quality and maybe he has not specific characteristics to be a number 10. Maybe he is more a second striker or a winger, but for sure I am appreciating a lot his desire, his will in every training (session).

“Against Milan, if we don’t have that red card to Romero, he was coming to try to play with a 4-2-4. I have to try to find always the best solution.”

Danjuma posted a photo on his Instagram story (12/3/23) which included the caption ‘Days off don’t exist’ in reference to him putting in extra work at the club’s training ground facility on a scheduled day off.

It is great to see that Danjuma has the work ethic and attitude to do all he can to try to force his way into Antonio Conte’s plans, despite it looking as if he was a club signing, rather than one which the Italian directly requested.
