Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that one Premier League central defender, who Tottenham Hotspur are allegedly keen on landing in the summer, has a release clause in his contract which becomes active at the end of the season.

Dean Huijsen is on Tottenham’s radar
Bournemouth have made some very smart recruitment decisions over recent years, perhaps none more impressive than their acquisition of Dean Huijsen from Juventus last summer.
The 19-year-old is having an impressive debut season in the Premier League, having established himself in the mainstay of Andoni Iraola’s backline as the Cherries push for Champions League qualification.
It has been widely reported over recent days that Tottenham are one of several clubs across the Premier League and Europe eying a summer move for Dean Huijsen.

Fabrizio Romano confirms Huijsen release clause
Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that Huijsen has a £50m release clause in his contract with the South Coast club, which will become active at the end of the season.
This comes as a potentially major boost to Tottenham and the Spaniard’s other suitors, who now know that they would not need to negotiate a deal with Bournemouth in order to land the young defender.
Romano also confirmed that interest in the former Juve centre-back is heating up ahead of the summer.

Bournemouth’s plans for Dean Huijsen revealed
This update comes just a couple of days after CaughtOffside claimed that Spurs could face competition from the likes of Man Utd, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain for the Cherries man.
The same report asserted that Bournemouth are trying to get the Spain Under-21 international to sign a contract extension so that they can increase the value of his release clause.
It seems like the Iraola’s men are not prepared to let their defensive starlet leave without a fight, which is not surprising, given the impressive project that is currently underway at the club.
