Declan Rice announces what Harry Kane said to him about West Ham whilst on International duty

Declan Rice received his first international call up two weeks ago since switching allegiances from Ireland to England and was greeted by manager Gareth Southgate and captain Harry Kane.

Declan Rice has shared what Tottenham striker Harry Kane told him about West Ham when the pair were together on international duty.

Rice’s excellent performances were rewarded with the call-up to the first team as well as playing in both Euro 2020 qualifying games against Czech Republic and Montenegro last week.

Not only have his performances caught the eye of many fans and pundits across the globe but many of his fellow colleagues including the 2018 World Cup golden boot winner.

Harry Kane told Rice how he has watched West Ham play a lot this season.

“The first day we were training I sat down on the mats and we were having a conversation. He was asking how West Ham was, said that he has watched us quite a bit and me this season, which was nice to hear, said that he likes me as a player which was also good to hear! On the training field I was picking his brains, playing the ball into his feet how he wants it.” Rice said (Daily Mail)

Harry Kane and Declan Rice are most likely to be in many England squads to come and with the pair undoubtedly destined for great futures, the Three Lions must only feel positive with the up and coming Nations League finals in June this year.
