Declan Rice mocks Spurs fan on social media after West Ham’s comeback

It is fair to say that hardly anyone saw what was coming in the final ten minutes of Tottenham’s clash against West Ham yesterday.

Spurs had raced into an early three-goal lead and spurned chances to extend their lead, while the away side rarely threatened the Tottenham goal until the 82nd minute.

Three points looked to be a formality but what followed is something Tottenham fans will want to forget and West Ham fans never will.

The home side got back into the game courtesy of a Fabian Balbuena header from a set-piece and an own-goal by Davinson Sanchez before Manuel Lanzini scored a screamer with what was essentially the final kick of the game.

While Spurs fans were left with egg on their faces, one fan had it particularly worse as he had tweeted out the following when Bale came on for the home side:

Needless to say, the tweet went viral as it was inundated by West Ham fans.

Declan Rice also decided to get in on the act as he took to social media to mock the Spurs fan.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is understandable why West Ham fans are in cloud nine after that result as this is their annual cup final, and in fairness, it was certainly an unbelievable come back. However, it is quite funny to see the reaction from Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool fans etc, who seem to have taken just as much delight in us throwing the game away. That suggests that there is an element of fear about Spurs and what we can accomplish this season.
