Defender’s agent reportedly travels to London for Tottenham talks

Tottenham Hotspur may be in the market for a new centre back come the end of the season.

Due to an injury to Jan Vertonghen, young Juan Foyth is Spurs’ only real out and out centre back substitute at the moment.

Vertonghen and Belgian partner Toby Alderweireld are also both out of contract in the summer, so Spurs could find themselves with vacant positions for next campaign.

It the latest reports are to be believed, it looks as if Daniel Levy is taking a proactive approach to finding a new player by doing business early for once.

Calcio Mercato report that the agent of Sampdoria’s Joachim Anderson has travelled to London for talks with both Tottenham and Arsenal.

The 22-year-old has been in sparkling form in Serie A since his move in 2017.

The Danish defender is said to be worth an attractive £22m, which isn’t a bad price in today’s market.
