‘Defensive errors are killing us’ – Some fans react to Spurs’ first half display against Vitesse

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to social media to share their reaction to the first half performance against Vitesse Arnhem.

The fixture has received plenty of attention following the appointment of Antonio Conte earlier this week to replace Nuno Espirito Santo.

The home side nearly got off to the perfect start when Heung-min Son was played through on goal by Cristian Romero and the South Korean rounded the goalkeeper only to see his effort cleared by Riechedly Bazoer.

Spurs can also count themselves somewhat fortunate when Ben Davies, who was handed the opportunity to play as the left central defender appeared to clip Nikolai Baden Frederiksen with a trailing leg inches the penalty area.

Spurs took a three goal lead within the opening 28 minutes courtesy of Heung-min Son, Lucas Moura and a Jacob Rasmussen own-goal, only for Vitesse to fight back and score two of their own.

Below are a selection of thoughts from some fans on what they have witnessed during the opening forty-five minutes.
