Jermain Defoe has reportedly been ruled out for at least six weeks after injuring ankle ligaments during Englandâ€™s win in Switzerland.
The Spurs striker was stretchered off during the 2-1 victory and is now set to miss Tottenham’s first three Champions League matches.
According to the Daily Mail, Defoe reported back to Spurs yesterday and had a scan on his ankle in the afternoon.
Defoe joins Michael Dawson on the sidelines after the defender damaged knee and ankle ligaments in the 4-0 win against Bulgaria on Friday.
