Dele Alli holds a Tottenham reunion with two former club icons in Italy

Dele Alli has sent a message of support to former Tottenham teammates Harry Kane and Eric Dier ahead of their crucial Champions League showdown against Inter Milan.

While Tottenham Hotspur know they must beat Eintracht Frankfurt to reach the next stage of the Europa League on Thursday, a few of their former stars are also preparing for a make-or-break European night of their own.

Harry Kane and Eric Dier, now with German giants Bayern Munich, are fully aware they need to overturn a 2-1 first-leg defeat against Inter Milan to book their place in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.

Lautaro Martinez gave Inter an early lead before Thomas Muller appeared to have rescued a draw with an 85th-minute equaliser—only for Davide Frattesi to nick it late on and restore the Italians’ advantage.

Dele Alli sends message to Harry Kane and Eric Dier ahead of Bayern vs Inter tie

Now, with everything still up for grabs, former Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli, who has had his own struggles in recent years, has sent a message of support to his ex-teammates via Instagram.

The midfielder posted a photo alongside both Eric Dier and Harry Kane, with the Bayern pair holding up his Dele Como shirt. He captioned the post: “Good to catch up with my brothers today! Good luck tomorrow mandem.”

Kane and Dier will need all the luck they can get, with Inter Milan top of Serie A and looking every bit like the side that made the Champions League final just two seasons ago.

Tottenham memories could inspire Harry Kane and Eric Dier

Harry Kane, of course, has still not lifted silverware since leaving Tottenham, and Bayern Munich would be banking on him to come up big as they look to keep their European dreams alive.

A comeback isn’t beyond the German side, and it wouldn’t be unfamiliar territory for either Kane or Dier—they were both at Tottenham during that unforgettable night in Amsterdam back in 2019.

Kane wasn’t in the squad for that one, but Dier watched it all unfold from the bench. With those memories still with them, perhaps it can now inspire yet another infamous Champions League comeback.
