Dele Alli has now spoken about his ambitions over the next few years as he looks to get his career back on track at Como, with the attacking midfielder admitting that he aims to be back playing at the highest stage before too long.
Dele remains a fan favourite among the Tottenham Hotspur faithful, with the attacking midfielder giving some great memories to the Lilywhites in his seven years at the club after joining from MK Dons as a teenager in 2015.
Dele’s mental health issues have been well-documented, which is why many Spurs fans have been rooting for him to return to the pitch and get back to doing what he does best.
He is now trying to do that away from the spotlight of the Premier League, having joined Serie A side Como in January, where he is working under the watchful eyes of Cesc Fabregas.

Dele admits his huge 2026 England ambition
The former Tottenham man may have had a steep fall over recent years, but he is determined to work his way back up to the top.
The Como man remarked that he is now hungrier than ever to prove himself and admitted that he has set his sights on being back in the England squad for the 2026 World Cup.
Dele told TuttoMerctoWeb: “I’m definitely not done here yet. I am a very ambitious person. Now I have more ferocity than ever. The last two years have been tough for me, I had to learn a lot and grow.
“I strongly believe that everything happens for a reason, and I think my aim now is to join the club and surpass what I have done in the past. I don’t think the goals I set myself are too difficult to achieve.
“As I have already said in the past, one of my most imminent goals is to return to the national team for the 2026 World Cup. And it is still my intention”.
Dele Alli wants to get back to his Tottenham heights
Dele’s ambition and his drive are admirable after his recent setbacks, with the midfielder clearly not having lost his love for the game.
The former Spurs man has shown what he can do at the highest level when he is fit, firing and confident, and the Serie A may be the ideal launching pad to rebuild his career.
However, the 29-year-old’s chances of returning to the England squad very much depend on his body cooperating, which it has not over the last few years.
