Dele Alli praises Tottenham’s man of the match against Palace

Tottenham Hotspur continued their fine run of results in the Premier League this season with a narrow win over fellow Londoners Crystal Palace.

Spurs found it tricky to break down Palace at Selhurst Park, as they dominated possession but failed to carve many clear cut chances.

Tottenham finally found their goal scoring form when Harry Kane’s header was blocked, perfectly falling into the path of young Juan Foyth to head home.

This marked his first ever goal for the club, on his second Premier League start.

The team instantly surrounded the Argentine with smiles across all their faces as it clearly mean a lot to the squad for Juan to get off the mark and put last week behind him.

In last weekend’s fixture, Tottenham were 3-0 up and cruising against Wolves before Foyth gave away two penalties to create a nervy finish.

However, he put these issues behind him with a man of the match display against Palace.

The Express report Dele Alli had this to say on his team mate: “Juan deserves a lot of credit.

“It says a lot about his character after conceding those two penalties at Wolves.

“He works hard every day in training and he’s come in today and got the winner.”
