Dele Alli reacts to Spurs win and makes comment about training under Mason

It is fair to say that Dele Alli didn’t enjoy the most successful spell under Jose Mourinho, despite getting off to a flying start under the Special One.

Dele has only played 232 Premier League minutes all season and has been limited to 23 appearances, many of which were off the bench. In that time, the midfielder has managed three goals and four assists (TransferMarkt).

However, with Mourinho sacked earlier this week, it could be a chance for a fresh start in North London for Dele under interim head coach, Ryan Mason.

Mason named the England man on his bench last night against Southampton, although he didn’t hand Dele a cameo, instead opting for Harry Winks, Erik Lamela and Steven Bergwijn.

Following the 2-1 victory, Dele started a live stream on Instagram and is said to have exclaimed: “What a win from the boys today!” (HITC).

The report also adds that Dele revealed he would be training with the squad as normal the following morning (Thursday).
