Tottenham Hotspur midfielder and England ace Dele Alli has given fans an update on his latest injury and whether he will require surgery.
The Spurs man broke his hand during Tottenham‘s crucial Champions League quarter-final clash against fellow English club Manchester City back in April.
However, Dele has now reassured fans that he should recover from his injury naturally now that the season has concluded.
Tottenham’s injury record over the last season has been abysmal, with players like Harry Kane, Harry Winks, Danny Rose, Kieran Trippier, Serge Aurier, Moussa Sissoko, Eric, Dier, Victor Wanyama, Jan Vertonghen, and many more all suffering from spells on the sidelines.
Dele will be hopeful next season he can return injury free and turn the attention of many fans and critics back to his performances and goals on the field.
The 23-year-old’s hand has been the topic of conversation on more than one occasion this season after the England stars ‘hand to eye‘ movement was the latest internet craze (inews).
Dele said (Guardian): “They said I could have had an operation when it first happened, but I would have had to miss a few weeks. It’s not fully healed yet, but this was the last game they said I’d need the cast. I won’t need the operation, it’s healing well.”
Spurs Web Opinion:
Dele Alli was pushed back into a deeper role this season, which may have contributed somewhat to his lack of goals, however, he has been far from his best. I want to see the Alli of old back, attacking, fearless, feisty, and hungry for goals and assists.
