Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has sent a heartfelt message to supporters ahead of the Champions League final this evening.
The midfielder took to Twitter to thank the lilywhite faithful for their backing in helping the players get to the final in Madrid with their fantastic support throughout what has been a dramatic European campaign.
Dele vowed that he and his team-mates will do everything possible to lift the prestigious European trophy for the first time in their history.
Mauricio Pochettino is expected to name the 23-year-old in his starting line-up to face Liverpool at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
It was the former MK Dons player’s vision who provided the late assist with the perfect flick for Lucas Moura to run onto and score the winning goal deep into injury time against Ajax to book their place in the final.
It’s a classy message from Dele to the supporters in what is the biggest game in the club’s history.
All preparations are done. We’ve worked so hard to get to this point and we’ll do everything in our power to finish what we started. I wish all the travelling Spurs fans a safe journey and can’t thank everyone enough for the support throughout this competition ? #COYS pic.twitter.com/Jr8xtBrede
