Dele Alli has made an admission about the special Tottenham team he was part of and has revealed what has struck him about his interactions with Spurs fans over recent years.

Dele returned as the special guest for the North London derby on Sunday, and as expected, he got a fantastic reception from the fans.
His successful spell under Mauricio Pochettino is now seen as the glory years by the fans of a newer generation, and the midfielder admitted that the connections he made at the time will remain with him for life.
Dele told Tottenham’s official website: “In all my time here at Spurs, I tried to express myself, have fun, and play the way I enjoy playing football. I tried to entertain you guys, and hopefully I did that.
“We were a family. We felt like we gave it everything, and the fans really pushed us on and helped us to win each game. It happened over and over again.
“It was a very special team. I met some people that I’ll call friends and family for life, from the players to the staff, to even some of the fans. It was very special.”

It has been four years since the midfielder left the North London club, but his popularity among the fan base has not faded.
Dele admitted that he has always felt love from Tottenham fans, no matter which corner of the world he travels to, and revealed that the feelings are mutual.
The midfielder added: “There are no words to describe how you guys make me feel. No matter where I am in the world, you always show me incredible love and support. In every continent of the world, wherever I’ve been, if I meet a Tottenham fan, it’s always love.
“I just want you to know that I love you guys just as much as you love me. Hopefully, my entertainment on the pitch was good, and you could see the fight and passion that I have.”
