Dele Alli shares an open and honest view on the ‘most difficult’ season of his career

Dele Alli has this evening to social media to share an open and honest message about his season.

The England international rose to stardom under former manager Mauricio Pochettino which saw the former MK Dons man reach 50 Premier League goals quicker than former Premier League players Eden Hazard, Paul Scholes, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard (The Sun).

Dele started the first Premier League match of the season under Jose Mourinho but found himself having been replaced at half time against Everton and rarely featured under the Portuguese prior to his sacking in April (transfermarkt).

The appointment of Ryan Mason as interim head coach saw the midfielder come back into favour.

Dele admitted that this season has been the hardest which he has experienced in his career but remains grateful for having the opportunity to do what he loves while also promising to return to action next season fitter and stronger under what will be a new-look Spurs with a new head coach in place.
