Dele Alli sums up his return to Tottenham in just three words

Ahead of the Tottenham Hotspur players boarding the plane to the far east on Wednesday, members of the squad were back at Hotspur Way yesterday morning (Telegraph).

Dele Alli was one of the stars to return to training and the midfielder took to Instagram to post a very brief update of his first day back at Spurs.

The 23-year-old managed to find the back of the net on just 5 occasions in 25 appearances in the Premier League last season which was a stark contrast to his best season in a Spurs shirt which came in the 2016/17 campaign when he scored 18 goals in 37 league outings (Premier League).

In the England international’s defence, last season he was forced at times to play more of a deeper role at times due to the sale of Mousa Dembele along with Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko, Victor Wanyama and Eric Dier all spending time on the sidelines.

Hopefully, with the addition of Tanguy Ndombele it will allow Dele to revert back to his natural role of playing further up the pitch and providing support to Harry Kane.
