New Dele deal to fend off Barcelona?

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to offer Dele Alli yet another contract as the club looks to fend off potential suitors including Barcelona.

The Sunday Express report that the Catalan giants have earmarked Dele as a potential replacement for Neymar, who is expected to move for £200million to big-spending PSG next month.

Dele’s current deal still has five years to run and earns around £55,000-a-week with the new contract expected to put the England international on par with the likes of Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris at north of £80,000-a-week.

Even with a potential wage increase, Tottenham’s wage restrictions make all of their players vulnerable when clubs like Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United and Manchester City are all willing to pay wages in excess of £250,000-a-week – you only have to look as far as Kyle Walker as someone who has in all likeliness trebled his wages by leaving Spurs.

Do you think Tottenham can keep hold of their big stars?
