Is Dele the Real deal?

Dele’s Tottenham future is again subject to fresh speculation as old transfer foes Real Madrid supposedly circle.

The Daily Star report second-hand that according to Spanish news outlet Don Balon, the Milton Keynes-born star is high on president Florentino Perez’s wish list despite Alli being under contract until 2021.

The Star goes on to say that Madrid could well be plotting some kind of deal involving Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic.

The 23-year-old is behind compatriot Luka Modric and Toni Kroos in the Madrid pecking order and may seek a move away from the Bernabéu.

Spurs would of course be loathe to sell one of their prized assets, but Don Balon also claim Dele fancies a move to the European champions.  How they know that absolutely baffles me!

Dele’s somewhat lacklustre displays so far this season leading to some uncomfortable questions regarding his future. The situation is further hampered by so called “Super Agents” competing to sign him up after he parted ways with representatives Impact Sports Management.

It is of course speculation but his overall displays this term, coupled with a reserved demeanour suggests that all is not right within the Alli camp.

Do you think there might be something to it or is it just pure speculation. Let us know your thoughts.

  1. Real Madrid surely has to do something and soon. The aging attacking squad with Benzema the 1st to leave soon, CR who s 32 but can last a couple of seasons more (at RM who knows? ,its all about money isnt it), and Bale who seems to be better this season compared to last. My guess would be that they rather go for Kane than Alli , due to the fact that Kane plays constantly on a higher even level.

Then we do have a dilemma, which mid fielder to go for. Injuries at young age tend to be consistent, so Kovacic and Barkley have cons. Height and physics are pro s for Barkley and Gomes. Flexibility is good for all 3, playmakers and attacking, Brexit (even though approx in 2 years from now) could be a big con for foreigners like Kovacic and Gomes. I would go for Barkley. Develop him well physically and under the wings of señor Pochettino he will be a star.

If RM goes for Alli and he wants to leave, then we have a bit of money, if RM goes for Kane and Kane wants to, then we have a load of money and a big problem.

I would love to keep them both though. COYS.
