‘Dele should be on a hat-trick’ – Some Spurs fans react to first half against Aston Villa

Tottenham Hotspur go into half-time in the lead at Aston Villa, Toby Alderweireld the scorer at both ends in the Premier League, with Heung Min Son adding another.

The Belgian and Hugo Lloris got mixed up in the early minutes as the keeper failed to come and claim a cross, leaving Toby to poke it into his own net.

Half-way through the first 45, Alderweireld made up for his error with a superb twist and shot into the top corner to make it 1-1.

While Spurs gave away a number of chances to the home side, the Lilywhites also spurned multiple great opportunities to go ahead. Dele Alli was particularly guilty of missing some golden chances.

Tottenham were awarded a penalty in the final moments of the half, with Heung Min Son stepping up and seeing his shot saved by Pepe Reina, before bundling home the rebound.
