Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele has swapped North London for Guangzhou as he has completed a move to Chinese Super League side Guangzhou R&F. The midfielder has spent 6 and a half great years at the club after joining from Fulham six years ago.
The midfielder has been one of the most important players for Tottenham in recent seasons, being instrumental in helping transform Spurs from top 4 contenders to title challengers and Champions League regulars.
The 31-year-old Belgian spoke to Spurs TV after the move was finalised and reminisced about his time at the club. He said that he would always remember his time at Tottenham fondly and suggested that the club is part of his family now.
Dembele also said he will continue supporting the club and that he was delighted to be leaving the club in good terms with the players, staff, and fans. The interview was also interrupted by Jan Vertonghen who spoke in glowing terms about Dembele’s time at the club and the pair’s friendship.
