Deportivo La Coruna are still optimistic of bringing Giovani Dos Santos to the Riazor.
The Spaniards have been tracking Dos Santos for some time, with the Mexican struggling for first team football at Tottenham.
Dos Santos made his name in Spain, after progressing through the Barcelona youth system, but transferred to Spurs in the summer of 2008.
However, his time with Spurs has been frustrating with injuries and the form of other players keeping him away from the first team.
Rumours have suggested he might be keen on exiting the North London club, with a return to Spain top of his list of destinations.
Deportivo may well reignite their interest in January, with either a loan deal or permanent transfer possible.
Depor boss, Miguel Angel Lotina said, “The market has not moved yet, we’ll wait and see what happens.”
