Desperate Spurs and Liverpool fans offered €6,000 tickets for final

In a few hours, Tottenham Hotspur will take the field to fight it out against Liverpool for the honour of being crowned European champions.

Both teams come into the game high on confidence after producing terrific comebacks in the second legs of their respective semifinal clashes against Ajax and Barcelona.

With neither team having won much silverware recently, both teams have a fantastic opportunity to land the biggest prize in European football.

Both sets of fans are thus flocking to Madrid by the thousands but according to the BBC, each club has received only 16,613 tickets to pass on to their fans.

Thus, thousands of fans who travel to Madrid do not have tickets for the game (ITV).

Sky Sports now report that desperate fans are being offered tickets for €6,000, almost 100 times the initial face value of the tickets.

The report further claims that several fans who have travelled to Madrid have desperately been looking for tickets, and are prepared to spend exuberant amounts to watch their team play in the biggest game of the annual football calendar.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is a shame that fans’ desire to watch their team play live in the final is being taken advantage of. We at Spurs Web believe that it is an absolute disgrace that only 16,000 odd tickets have been allocated to each set of fans in a stadium with a capacity of over 67,000.
