Destiny Udogie appreciates the gesture by Tottenham’s fans during the clash against Newcastle United on Tuesday.
Going into Tuesday’s fixture, the relationship between Tottenham fans and the players appeared to be worsening, and reports indicated that it was a topic of discussion in the Spurs dressing room.
Guglielmo Vicario bore the brunt of Tottenham fans’ anger against Fulham, being booed and mocked after his mistake led to the Cottagers’ second goal.
However, the Spurs fans at St James’ Park sang the goalkeeper’s name during Tuesday’s game, with Thomas Frank praising the Tottenham fans for showing some love to Vicario.

Destiny Udogie calls for togetherness at Tottenham
Udogie was pleased to see supporters get behind his compatriot, admitting that he is delighted for the 29-year-old.
The left-back revealed that despite all that has gone on around the club over recent weeks, the Spurs squad has always remained close-knit.
Speaking after the draw in the North East, Udogie told Football.London: “It’s always good to have the fans behind you, and we’re really happy for Vic. We just keep going.
“As a group, we are always together. Every day we go to the training ground and work together with the staff. We just have to stick together and keep going.”
Udogie claims Spurs can still achieve something big this season
Last week, Pedro Porro reminded Tottenham fans that it is not about how the team starts the season, but how they end it, as they demonstrated with the Europa League win last season.
Udogie agrees with the right-back, insisting that he and his teammates still believe that they can achieve big things this season.
When asked if the draw at a tough place like Newcastle could be a turning point for the team, the Italy international responded: “Yeah, definitely [we hope it can be]. I think it’s a good point to start from.
“Every game is difficult. It’s up to us now to keep going and just stick together every game. It can still be a big season for the club. Every game is important, and we’re looking forward to it.”
