Di Marzio claims Spurs agree £25.5m deal which would also see Sanchez leave

Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement with Sevilla for the transfer of Jules Kounde, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

Over the last couple of weeks, reports have indicated that Spurs have stepped up their pursuit of Kounde, who has been a revelation since moving to Sevilla in 2019.

La Colina de Nervion reported that the North London club are ready to make a £50m offer for the 22-year-old while Cadena Ser also reiterated the same, suggesting that Spurs were the only club willing to meet Sevilla’s asking price for the centre-back.

However, multiple sources (Marca and AS) have claimed that the French international is not particularly keen on a move to Tottenham since the club are not in the Champions League.

If Di Marzio’s latest update is to be believed, Spurs have now reached an agreement with the La Liga club.

The journalist reveals that the Lilywhites have agreed to pay €30m (£25.5m) and send Davinson Sanchez to Seville as part of the deal for Kounde.

Di Marzio adds that the player is thinking about a move to Spurs and that the Lilywhites are also eyeing Milan Skriniar as an alternative, although the Slovakian international does not wish to leave Inter Milan.

If we manage to seal Kounde’s capture, that would represent an outstanding start to the transfer window. However, Spurs fans should not get too excited just yet as it remains to be seen if Paratici could convince Kounde to make the switch to Spurs despite the club not being in the Champions League this season.
