Gareth Bale

Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is prepared to offer Tottenham £13m and midfielder Lassana Diarra in exchange for left-back Gareth Bale.

That is what is being reported in Sunday’s People in what would be a combined £25million deal.

Mourinho is known to be a big admirer of the Welsh international and is keen to bolster his left flank after missing out on Ashley Cole earlier in the summer transfer window.

Diarra has previously been a target for Spurs and worked under Harry Redknapp at Portsmouth.

Frankly, if this deal did come off it would anger the majority of Spurs fans who see Bale as our brightest prospect, and he’s still only 21.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. Never in a million yrs will this happen!!
    James milner = 24.5 million
I'd say therefore bale would be worth 49.0 million cos he's twice the player Milner is

  2. IMO I wouldn’t want to trade any player for Bale. It’s not even about the money, we are still finding it hard to bring in quality signings even though we have cash and CL on offer. We have to retain our own World class players.

  3. wont happen ….Bale has new contract with spurs……..

we dont need anymore midfield players…….ie diarra

we need a team which is firing on all cylinders

  4. BECAUSE WE DONT DESERVE TO HAVE A QUALITY PLAYER IN OUR TEAM RIGHT, SERGIO RAMOS PLUS 15M AND THE DEAL WILL BE DONE. WE ALSO HAVE BENCH PLAYERS LIKE DIARRA DONT WE
