Lassana Diarra - Tottenham Hotspur News

Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra has dismissed reports he is about to join Tottenham Hotspur.

The French midfielder was heavily tipped to make the move to Spurs but it looks as if he will not be moving to the Lane.

“Information about my departure is a lie,” Diarra told AS.

“There is no agreement with Tottenham and I do not think there will be.”

“I have a contract with Real Madrid until 2013 and my coach Mourinho is happy.”

  1. Seen this on a number of sites now. Apart from Brad Friedel, are we going to sign anyone who's going to get in to the starting eleven before the end of the window next week? Even the Adebayor loan/transfer has gone very quiet. At this rate we'll be lucky to keep 5th spot this season, let alone get back into the top 4. Could be a long, hard season I think.

  2. Isn’t that a kick in the balls. Same old spurs. Can’t believe we can’t sign anime decent. What a transformation from last summer. Nobody wants to come here now and last summer we were a hit proposition for the future. Typical….let the decline begin

  3. seriously, what the hell is going on??

one minute we are close to agreeing terms, the next thing we are told its all a lie. Now im hearing the whole Ade loan is in doubt too!!

To make matters worse, we are heavily linked with Joe Cole!!

  4. what the hell is going on. diarra his saying now that he his not coming to spurs and their is no deal in place to do so. who telling lies. if we dont get a few quality players in by deadline day we are doomed. i love my spurs but we got a football lesson against the mancs on monday night. To get people to play on sunday they have to be signed by friday at noon. i thought after monday night match we would be really busy to try and tie a few deals up by the end of the week, it looks as though next weds will be busy instead. Or midtable it his then.

  5. Bloody wage ceiling and redknapps mouth! I predict a riot by the end of this season. Harry to leave us where he found us…bottom of the league before he p*ss*es of to manage England

  6. I think even players are sick of negotiating with Levy now…..clubs hate negotiating with Tottenham because of him thats why we cant sell any of our players that are surplus to requirements, even though they are internationals (Gio, Bentley, Hutton, Bassong, Palacios).

He is a crap businessman and all the money we made during the champions league run and from 2 sponsorship deals is all tied up in Levys bank.

No proper investment for 3 years approaching now, its getting perfectic

  7. Frankly, I am not surprised. I think it is the Levy publicity machine once again attempting to convince fans of his ambition. I don’t beleive the club are seriously making an attemt to sign anyone. I wonder when we will here that the Adebayor deal is not going to happen. 5th place is looking very optomistic. 8th seems more likely.

  8. Arsenal loss two of their top players and still win away in Europe. Even when the players leave, they only have good things to say about the manager and the club. Unlike with Spurs, everyone who leages is bitter and describes signing for Spurs as a big mistake.
We need a complete change in management. Its not about the money only.
